Restarting a Church in Summer Hill!

Let me tell you a bit about St Andrew's Summer Hill....125 years ago the first pastor of the church, John Vaughan, planted the church and established a thriving, Bible based church in the suburb of Summer Hill, Sydney. Over the years it has been the spiritual home for thousands of people, but not so any more.

The church is now in need of revitalization. I have been the pastor here for three and half months and have realized that we really need to start again. We need to gather together a new team (from the people here and new people) in order to reach the diverse area with the good news of Jesus. It is a bit like doing a church plant without a sending church. I am hoping and praying that by reading this blog you might in some way be able to support our ministry, whether in prayer, financially or by joining us.

Church life is like a taboggan ride, you get on and then hold on for the ride, not necessarily knowing where you are going. This blog will be a record of where the track has taken us and what we can see up ahead. Hang on for the ride!
