mixed flatmates
The question came up the other day about mixed flatting. I thought it was easier to avoid problems and only flat with people of the same sex. What do you think? What traps are there?

That is what I thought! There are just so many possible problems.
By this logic, however, gay and lesbian people ought only to to flat with members of the opposite sex.
We really enter problems here. Given the logic so far....
1. if both flatmates are gay or lesbian then they should not flat together.
2. if one flatmate is gay/lesbian and the other is not they they should not flat together for the sake of the non gay/lesbain flatmate.
Therefore either don't live in a flat or don't be gay/lesbian.
What it shows is that working out proper relationships between people can get really messy (and even more so when we move away from God's ideal)
Anonymous -- We're not talking 'logic', leading to a rule. One that could be flawed if we found an exception to the rule.
We were talking about wisdom.
Of course if someone has gay tendencies, and wanted to avoid the temptation that comes with a certain living arrangement, then that person would seek to find a way to minimize the possibilities of succumbing to their temptation. I don't know. They might choose to live with Grandma! :)
That's not logic, it's wisdom.
