Open Week Over - but why not visit church anyway?

Open Week at Summer Hill Anglican Church finished last night, but the church family are always 'open' to newcomers and visitors, so why not visit next Sunday, 9:30am?

The service yesterday was brilliant. We serve, praise and live for the amazing risen Lord Jesus and it was wonderful to have so many visiting families join us! We heard a stirring talk from the Bible on who Jesus thinks he is. Jesus declares himself to be God as he displays the authority to forgive sin, and backs this bold statement up by physically healing a paralytic man. Check out the part of the Bible yourself: Mark 2:1-12

The place was buzzing afterwards with an indoor jumping castle, a BBQ, and a fiercely competitive bridge building competition with paddle pop sticks and hot glue guns. I noticed the dads around the bridge construction tables were very keen to help their kids make the strongest bridge!

Last night the Christianity Explored course started, and this will run for the next few weeks. This course is for people who would like to check out what Christianity is all about, and is a good place to ask questions. If you missed last night you can still join in next week - Sunday, 6:30pm, in the hall next to the church building.

Well, this is my last post. Our team from Moore College had a fabulous week helping out the church. We thank Chris and Beth for their support and guidance throughout the week, and we thank the church for billeting and feeding us all week!

Praise God that we can call all Christians our brother and sister thanks to the grace and forgiveness we have received from God.

Cheers
