Seating arrangement
I'm interested in ideas for different seating arrangements for church. At the moment it is hard to get in and out of the pews and people seem to prefer sitting further back and spaced out. Ideas?

Invite and welcome 10 new people to church every week. After 3 weeks it won't feel so spaced out any more :P
I like the idea! That will definitely solve people being spaced out (LOL) but will make the problem of accessibility to the pews even more acute.
I think it is important for people to sit next to someone - it's a fellowship issue. I think being closer together and closer to the front helps people engage better with what is happening in the meeting and with each other. It's hard in a building designed for 400+ adults when we are only about 55-60 plus kids.
We had some ideas up the back of church on Sunday. One of the issues is the carpet in the centre would look weird if it had chairs/pews on it (three columns of pews instead of two). Any ideas on how to reduce the weirdness?
